When you purchase a gift voucher, you will receive an email with a code that the gift receiver can use to book onto their chosen session/s.

Discover just how relaxing lino cutting is, whilst creating your own original print. You will learn how to use lino carving tools, be shown how to ink your lino block, and how to burnish your print by hand. The workshop is hands-on, creative and very informative. It is suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience. Everything is explained clearly with demonstrations, and plenty of support and advice will given throughout.

Advanced Linocut
For those that have taken part in a linocut workshop before, and want to learn how to create multicoloured prints. You will be given the option to use either the jigsaw cutting technique, or the multi block method to add more than one colour to your design. Details will be emailed out in advance so you can prepare your design accordingly.

Reworking old Jewellery
Our jewellery holds our most precious memories but often ends up unworn. Learn how to refashion your broken or outmoded jewellery with simple construction techniques. Enjoy gathering gemstone beads from Ruth’s extensive hoard of preloved and vintage gemstone beads. This session will be more of a jumping off point for reimagining your treasures than a technical instruction. You will be making a simple pair of earrings or pendant. We are keeping costs low by using base metal materials but the option to upgrade to sterling silver is available for an additional fee.

Abstract Painting
Using colour to celebrate life through creativity. Unshackle yourself from the need to paint something representational. Rediscover the joy of play through paint. Reclaim your joy as you create without judgement. Using a photo or image that fills you with joy, we will mix up a beautiful colour palette and gently paint to express our response to it.

Tetra Pak Printing
Learn how to create beautiful unique prints from your used tetra pak packaging. You will be shown how to transfer an image to the packaging to create light and dark areas of contrast. We will then get messy inking the design up before it gets put through the printing press with damp paper to reveal your beautiful embossed image. Be warned, this process is addictive!

Playful Creativity
Using found collage, ink and paint, we will alter a vintage book. It will become an experimental vehicle of discovery as we each create a mini world. Each page a fresh start. A cumulative project that could take one hour or one year. What will your book become for you?

Collage from misprints and offcuts
(requires attendance at at least one of the printing or painting workshop/s)
What do you do when paintings/prints don’t quite turn out how you’d imagined? Throw them away? Of course not! Come and create a reimagined piece of art using off cuts and misprints (swapping scraps with others is encouraged!) Learn how to create wonderful compositions and explore techniques for blending different styles together.

“I had a lovely evening at Jen’s lino cutting workshop. It was well organised and a relaxed evening enjoyed with friends. Jen is a good teacher and explained the process well!”

“Jen led an excellent workshop with many of us starting as beginners and having fantastic pieces of work by the end. She taught us helpful techniques and methods to make the piece we wanted, and the whole evening was very relaxing and enjoyable.”

“Loved the workshop, I am not particularly arty but Jen explained everything and all equipment was supplied, it was lovely. The cake and coffee were also fab. Thank you!”

Unfortunately this workshop is non-refundable, but your ticket is transferable to a friend if you cannot make the date for any reason.
