Hello! My name is Jen, and I live and work in the beautiful historic city of York. I have been drawing and painting ever since I learnt to hold a pencil. I discovered linocut when visiting an artist during York Open Studios in 2018. I was fascinated by the process and soon became a printmaker myself. I primarily work in linocut, but also enjoy collagraph printing too.
In 2019 I began a project of artistically exploring the Hebrew and Greek names of God in the Bible. The project began from a desire to know God in deeper and broader way myself. You can find out more about this project here.
My other work is primarily inspired by observations from daily life, so my subjects can range from birds in the garden to stunning interior architecture at the Turkish Baths.
